* Functional Vocational Training for 12000 youths.
* Establishment of 3 child care centers in 3 target villages
* Federating the women of SHGs under Cluster Level Federation
* Loans from Nationlised Banks towards dairy development, micro-finance,
* Increase the yield of land for farmers by training therm in bio farming
* 14000 Income generation and self employment Schemes were established

The mission of HUT is realised by its involvement in catalysing and pursuing projects benefitting the lives and livelihoods of people in about 50 Villages which include in Tiruvanamalai, Tuticorin Districts in Tamilnadu and Nellore District in Andhrapradesh

ABOUT US

HUT was established in the year 1997 by a group of committed youth joining hands to work towards the betterment of the downtrodden in an around Tiruvannamalai District.

The acronym HUT stands Human Upliftment Trust, underlines the fact that HUT bases its philosophy on the idea of enlightenment, enrichment and empowerment of communities working together for their own self-reliance.

Right from its inception HUT interventions have mainly focused on education of children, health, formation or women sangams, improvement to water and sanitation, environment and sustainable development.

In all its interventions, HUT recognizes the needs and aspiration of the communities in the target areas respecting their traditions, customs, and culture, and it works impartially for the needs of the others, without any discrimination based on sex, caste, creed and culture.

HUT is strongly committed in ensuring that international aid does not become mere charity, but helps the communities to become active contributors resulting in improved quality of life, with a healthier, more fulfilling sustainable future.
